Samantha

Walding-Hart

Producer | Director | Lead Editor

I’m a filmmaker with professional video production experience since 2016. As co-owner of Outlast Imagery, I produce and direct shoots, coordinate camera teams, and lead edits across sports, live events, music videos, weddings, and documentary projects.

I bring a clear plan to production and a strong sense of rhythm to the edit. Whether a film calls for quick cuts and big energy or space for a quieter moment, I want every choice to serve the people and story on screen.

Featured Work

From a fast-paced senior tribute to an intimate wedding teaser and an interview-led documentary, these projects show different sides of my work in production, directing, editing, and animation.

LEAD EDITOR | ANIMATOR

St. Thomas 2026 Senior Video

St. Thomas High School commissioned a video to honor their graduating seniors, weaving in childhood photos to highlight each student’s growth into the young men they’d become. I paired the nostalgia of youth with Kishi Bashi’s “Honeybody,” then built an unexpected glitch-style transition into the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ “Wolf” to mark the shift into what’s next.

Director, Producer, Lead Editor

Sasser Wedding Teaser

The Sassers wanted a film that felt vintage, artful, and unmistakably theirs. I produced and directed the shoot with that style in mind, giving the camera team a clear visual direction while leaving room for the unscripted moments of the day. I led the edit, bringing the composed images and candid reactions together in a teaser that feels personal to them.

PRODUCER, DIRECTOR, EDITOR & ANIMATOR

UNT SPIDY (2018)

Produced for my advanced documentary production class at UNT, “UNT Spidy” was a collaborative short documentary I made with two classmates — directing, editing, and animating the piece together. I hand-drew the mask animation frame by frame, edited the majority of the final cut, and scheduled and conducted all interviews, working directly with the students behind the mask while keeping their identities confidential throughout production.

The Story Behind

The Work

My dad, who went by Shogo online, introduced me to editing when I was a little girl. He taught me VEGAS Pro, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop years before I earned my Photoshop certification. His encouragement led me to study Media Arts at the University of North Texas.

Learning different programs so early also made me an adaptable editor. I can get comfortable with new software and workflows quickly, then focus on the footage: finding its story and shaping its pacing, sound, and emotion.

He died in 2018, a year before I graduated. For a while, filmmaking didn’t bring me the same joy. Working on Springstock helped me reconnect with it. Today, I put my heart into making work I hope he would be proud of.

My editing page, @shogomade, carries his name in the work I make today.
